Merry Christmas

Jack and SpecHere’s a bit of Scottie Christmas for you and yours ….

A Christmas Poem

Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house
There was barking and snuffling because of a mouse.

All I Want for Christmas

All I want for Christmas is a treat to eat,
a treat to eat, just a treat to eat.

If I could only have just a treat to eat,
then I could wish you Merry Christmas.

The Friendly Beasts

Jesus our brother, kind and good
Was humbly born in a stable rude
And the friendly beasts around Him stood,
Jesus our brother, kind and good.

“I,” said the Scottie, black and warm,
I snuggled their feet on Christmas morn;
They won’t hurt my baby who’s just born.”
“I,” said the Scottie, black and warm.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
With Love from Jack and Spec

  1. Jack, Spec and Beth…enjoyed the festive attire pictured
As well as the poems which were very clever!
I hope you all have a good Christmas, although I know, Beth,
This Christmas will be one of sadness as well as joy.

Thank you for helping the rest of us see the beauty of life through
The powerful photography and thought-provoking words which
    Are shared each day.
    Merry Christmas!
    Dee Anne

  2. Thanks, Patricia, Dee Anne, Rayna,

Jack and Spec had a great day. They ended up with a bunch of new presents from five different friends. We will soon have the ritual of retiring old, chewed up toys. πŸ™‚

They were therapy dogs for me these last weeks. Jack has been hanging out close to me and sitting in my lap. He knows when I’m sad.

Blessing to you on this special day.

    Beth

  3. What ADORABLE Scotties! They are so festive and Christmasy! I just finished Uncluttered Heart and what an incredible blessing it has been to me through this Christmas-tide. Your prayer today totally confirmed what God had just spoken to me moments before about this year I need to be Jesus’ hands and feet as my gift to Him (and to the world). I LOVE what God does that, a sacred echo. I’ll look forward to following your blog Beth. (in case you are curious, mine is: http://shoemaker4him.blogspot.com/) And for a new Advent book this year???? πŸ™‚
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your father.
