Bless these hearts
So tender and fragile,
So easily broken,
Bruised, torn.
Bless these hearts
That beat in compassion and hurt,
In love and solidarity,
Having known despair or grief themselves.
Bless these hearts
Living
In the midst of brokenness,
Of human errors,
Powerless to quench
The pain of others.
Bless these hearts
That beat in empathy and kindness,
Standing with, standing by,
Joined together
In our common joy,
Our shared sorrow.
Bless these hearts,
So tender and fragile,
So filled with love.
Bless these hearts.

Beth, so touching and poignant. Sandy
Thank you ❤️
Have I read this poem before or is it just my life I’m hearing?
Sigh.
Oh, dear. It must be your life. Unless I have a serious case of amesiatic plagiarism. Love to you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This prayer blessed me especially today as I think about an older friend who lost her husband of 60+ years last night. We know he’s in Glory, but she and her son must learn to carry on without him. Thanks.
