We have hope ...
When seeds sprout.
Babies are welcomed by loving parents.
People gather together to
Eat and laugh and cry.
We have hope ...
When we see the color of a fall tree,
Admire a full moon or sunrise,
Listen to the haunting tune
That brings us to tears.
We have hope ...
That transcends what can see or know.
That trusts in the tender heart in each of us.
Holding on to the knowledge that, in the end, Me are more alike than we are different.
Hanging on to the long view,
Of teachers like Julian of Norwich,
Who affirmed and reminded us:
All shall be well.
And all shall be well.
And all manner of things shall be well.
Each morning I pull a card from my SoulCollage® deck. The card that came to me this morning was the "Hope" card from the Council Suit. This is Hope as an archetype, as a guide. I yearn for hope these days -- for me, for you, for all people.
